TekPort's roots are based in corporate America. Founded by Vincent L. Blehl, in 1986, for the purpose of creating Wide Area Networks (WAN's) and data projection solutions for Fortune 500 companies, TekPort® Inc. was New Jersey's very first Authorized Dealer of Kodak Data Show Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) panel. The Data Show was the predecessor to all Modern Multimedia LCD Projectors used today, to display computer data and video images in corporate boardrooms and private home theaters.

Currently, TekPort® Inc. has an installed base of over 2,000 multi-media projection solutions across the US and internationally, which we continue to support. Although not active in creating WAN's in corporate America, TekPort® Inc. now applies our expertise to create Local Area Networks (LAN's) in homes and small offices of their private clients allowing them to share high speed Internet access between PC's.

Since 1997 TekPort® Inc. also serves our private clientele with the creation of private home theaters and media rooms in their new or remodeled homes. We work directly with the homeowner, their architects, designers and builders to design, install and service their communication and entertainment solutions. TekPort® Inc. headquarters is currently located in Waldwick, NJ and maintains a separate showroom.

Vincent L. Blehl, founder of TekPort® Inc., is among fewer than 100 CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design Installation Association) Certified Professionals in the United States to have earned all three levels of certification currently available for both Installation and Design. A member since 1997, Blehl attends an average of 40 hours of CEDIA and manufacturer sponsored training at CEDIA's national and regional conventions per year. Evaluating hundreds of products yearly, Blehl then chooses those with the best value and performance to utilize at TekPort. 2002 recipient of BANNJ (Builders Association of Northern New Jersey) Associate Member of the Year, Blehl was chosen from among the over 150 associate members to receive this high honor. Throughout his years of participation in the Association, Vince is serving a second year on the Board of Directors and it is his loyalty and commitment to the organization that prompted this award. "He (Blehl) has been a stellar participator and we truly appreciate how active he is on all levels; attending events, contributing and speaking at the meetings, really just his overall accessibility," said Bill Brooks, Executive Officer of BANNJ. Confident in Blehl's continuing abilities the BANNJ nominating committee has chosen Blehl as the 2004 Associate Member Counsel's Vice President for 2004. He is scheduled to be inducted at the January 2004 banquet held at the Stony Hill Inn in Hackensack, New Jersey. Vince serves on the Advisory Board at Lincoln Tech and Visionaire and regularly delivers speeches on 'The Digital Home' at schools and trade organizations.
